Purpose:Learn how to soften or darken or sharpen the details of an image, creating smooth transitions for colors.

Materials Required

Laptop, Internet connection with Photopea software, E-mail id with password.

Prior knowledge

Students should be aware of selecting the particular part of an image to edit.

1.Students learn to blur a particular part of an image using a blur tool.

2.Students learn to darken a particular part of an image using a burn tool.

3.Students learn to desaturate a particular part of an image using a sponge tool in desaturation mode.

Teacher's Instruction
  1. While the students learn the teacher should observe whether they articulate the words like blend, blur, sponge, saturate, desaturate, smudge, dodge, burn, sharpen and become familiar with these terms.
  2. Guidance should be given for the students for every exercise and allow them to share in their peer group.
  3. Ask the students to find out whether they are able to reshape the edges into softer lines using a smudge tool.
  4. Ask them whether it is possible to change a particular image to a painted image using a smudge tool.
  5. Ask them whether it is possible to blur a particular victim’s face using a blur tool.
  6. Ask them when we use a smudge tool whether the details will be lost or not.
  7. Ask them if they burn, sharpen and dodge excessively using a burn, sharpen and dodge tool what will happen?
